Industry Natural Hair Salon

The Challenge
Understanding a highly niche brand while maintaining a consistent content pipeline. TWST Bar has a very specific identity rooted in '80s, '90s, and early 2000s Black culture, which took time to fully understand. Pairing that with a goal of five videos per week and limited opportunities to capture completed hairstyles made it challenging to consistently create content that felt true to the brand.
Our Strategy
For TWST Bar, our strategy balanced brand storytelling with customer conversion. We created a content mix of 20% trend-driven, on-brand videos, 40% SEO-focused educational content to reach new audiences, and 40% salon-focused content highlighting services, hairstyles, and updates. We also shifted to three-hour content shoots every three weeks, giving us enough time to capture services from start to finish. To maximize content, I incorporated footage from the salon's phone at the start of each shoot, creating a more sustainable content pipeline without sacrificing quality.
Contract Details: We post 5 videos per week for TWST Bar and do a content shoot once every 3 weeks.
